Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë

Wuthering Heights is the sole novel by Emily Brontë, one of the very famous Brontë sisters. Published for the first time in the year 1847 using a fictitious name Ellis Bell, Wuthering Heights is a classic example of gothic novels. The story is a perturbing tale of love, passion, betrayal between the protagonists Heathcliff and Catherine, which ultimately destroys themselves and the people around them.

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

Pride and Prejudice is considered to be one of the best classic novels we have today. Written by Jane Austen in 1796-97, it is considered to be the finest work of the author. Set in the landed gentry culture of 19th century England, the novel is about the lead protagonist Elizabeth Bennet and how she deals with issues of family, upbringing, morality and manners. The original novel was called First Impressions, but it never got published by that name.

Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes

The Ingenious Hidalgo Don Quixote of La Mancha or Don Quixote, as we popularly know it, is a Spanish novel written by the most famous Spanish author, Miguel de Cervantes (1547-1616). This literary marvel was published in two parts, Part I in the year 1605 and Part II, a decade later in 1615. The book has been translated in English, around 20 times, since it was first published and is considered to be one the greatest novel ever published.
